Mantis dominates Marvel Rivals as the most successful character

NetEase Games has revealed new data about Marvel Rivals, highlighting the most successful and popular characters in competitive play. Mantis leads as the character with the highest win rate, solidifying herself as a strategic choice on both PC and consoles. According to the Hero Hot List, published on the official website, Mantis has an impressive 56,03% wins on PC, surpassing Hela and Loki. On consoles, she maintains her position, ahead of Magik and Hela.

Additionally, the competitive game features 14 characters with win rates exceeding 50%. This diversity indicates a good balance in the game design, allowing for different styles and strategies to succeed.

Contrast between Mantis' success and popularity

Despite his dominance in competitive play, Mantis is not the most popular player in Quickplay. In this more casual format, characters like Jeff, Venom, and Cloak & Dagger are favorites among players. In competitive play, Lunar Snow and Cloak & Dagger share the spotlight with Mantis.

On consoles, the situation is slightly different. Cloak & Dagger takes the top spot in popularity, followed by Peni Parker and Mantis, which remains among the favorites. These variations reflect the influence of the players' playstyle and individual preferences.

On the other hand, Storm, Black Widow and Wolverine appear among the least chosen in the competitive for PC and consoles. In Quickplay, Wolverine gives way to Namor, who also faces low participation.

Black Widow has been negatively highlighted in Marvel Rivals, presenting the lowest percentage of victories among all characters, regardless of ranking, platform or game mode. Despite being chosen more frequently than Storm, for example, the heroine records the worst success rates. On the console, her victories in competitive matches total only 37.99%, while in quick matches the rate rises slightly to 44.15%. On PC, the numbers are 41.07% and 44.15%, respectively. This data consolidates the Avengers character as the weakest in the game so far, considering all the metrics analyzed.

At the higher ranks, Black Widow's performance is even more concerning. At Grandmaster level, she only has 32.96% wins on console and 39.41% on PC. Furthermore, her pick rate is extremely low: 0.37% in competitive matches on console and 0.8% on PC.
